However, the River 2 still features a much more powerful inverter (double the output power compared to the Explorer 300 Plus). This also comes with a slightly lighter weight of about 0.5lb less.

So if you don’t require more than 300W of AC power and are looking for better portability, then the Explorer 300 Plus may be a good choice for you. If instead, your devices require more power, then the River 2 may still be the preferred choice.
